Elora Brewing Company, partnered with SilverFox Distillery in Arthur, Ontario, had the desire to help contribute to the production of hand sanitizer and support the cause within our local community. Covidhealth.ca contacted Elora Brewing Company, to inquire about their inventory of beer mash that could be used by SilverFox Distillery to produce sanitizer.

Elora Brewing Company, partnered with SilverFox Distillery in Arthur, Ontario, had the desire to help contribute to the production of hand sanitizer and support the cause within our local community. Covidhealth.ca contacted Elora Brewing Company, to inquire about their inventory of beer mash that could be used by SilverFox Distillery to produce sanitizer.

“We have plenty of beer already fermented,” explained Jim Murphy, Chief Executive Officer of Elora Brewing Company, “it takes 3 to 5 weeks to ferment, so thankfully we had 1100 litres available to move immediately. We transported the beer to a newly opened distillery near us in Arthur called SilverFox Distillery”. 

Elora Brewing is one of the many local breweries that have worked to serve up some positivity alongside their regular beer production during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Although times are changing, it is remarkable to bear witness to how individuals and companies have quickly adapted their regular business practices in order to best support their communities.
